The Salvation Army Family Store is located at 1275 Emancipation HWY in the Eagle Village Shopping Center. We gladly accept donations of gently used clothing, furniture, appliances, jewelry, and “treasures.” Pick-ups can also be arranged by calling the store at 540-891-2242. Please remember that your donation not only helps The Salvation Army operations but also helps us to help families who may need emergency assistance with clothing or furniture.

Store Hours

Monday – Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. excluding holidays.

We accept cash, check, visa and mastercard. Furniture items paid in full will be held up to 48 hours if prior arrangements are made with store employee or manager.

Furniture Pick-Ups

Limited pick-ups Monday and Thursday

Pick-ups can be scheduled for larger furniture items and appliances. We will pick up additional boxes and bags of misc. items in addition to furniture. Please have other items boxed and bagged and ready for pick-up at the scheduled time. All items must be located on the ground level and either outside home or in a garage. We cannot enter a home, basement, or the back of a building. Pick-ups for furniture and appliances can be scheduled in advance by calling the Family Store at 540.373.3431.

Donation Hours

Monday, Wednesday, Friday 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. excluding holidays Please do not drop off after hours. This causes theft!

We are limiting donations to 4 bags/boxes per vehicle

Donation Reminders

All donations must be bagged or boxed.

No clothes will be accepted on hangers.

We do not accept the following items:

Gas appliances
Console tv’s
Yard sale items that still have stickers on them (accepted only if stickers are removed)
Medical Equipment

Health Department regulations require that all donated upholstered furniture/mattress and box springs must be free of stains, rips/tears, and pet hair. Furniture must be vacuumed. Please do not drop off items with excessive dust/dirt, mold, pet hair or visible mouse droppings/cobwebs. In accordance with Health Department regulations these items will be discarded.

All appliances must be in working order and clean.

The Family Store gladly accepts donations of automobiles and trucks.  Please call The Salvation Army’s automobile donations line at 202-461-3520 for more information or to arrange a donation.
