Advisory Council Member. The Salvation Army of Gloucester-Mathews is looking for volunteers with connections in business and non-profit community and knowledge of community resources to serve on the Advisory Council. Committee members advise on wide spectrum of issues including funding, services provided by local Salvation Army, community involvement, partnerships with other organizations, fundraising, organizing annual Red Kettle campaign. Council meets every other month, third Tuesday of every other month from 12:00pm-1:30 pm. Time commitment may increase from September to January as committee members help with Red Kettle campaign: ring bells at the store fronts in Loveland, count money donations from the red kettles, drive to pick up kettle donations from eight different store locations. Volunteers are invited to attend Advisory Council meetings to visit and observe prior to making commitment to serve on the Council.
Assistant Volunteer Engagement Coordinator: The Volunteer Engagement Coordinator is responsible for assisting with recruiting, training, managing & recognizing the efforts of our volunteers. Responsible for attending community events and visit other service agencies for collaboration and resource sharing (includes driving personal vehicle, walking or using other modes of transportation).
