Angel Tree

The Angel Tree Program, along with The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign, is one of The Salvation Army’s highest-profile Christmas efforts. What is Angel Tree?  It is a program where an individual, group or business can sponsor a child in need who is 12 years of age or younger. The Salvation Army of Loudoun’s staff will receive thousands of requests for help.  They screen each application and approve a child’s Wish List. The sponsor buys new toys, gift cards or clothing for their adopted angel.

Next step – Around the first of November you can go to our Angel Tree link to adopt angels.

If you have an interest in adopting 10 or more Angels or have any questions, please contact our office at 701-771-3371, or by email at angeltreeloudoun@gmail.com

You can also shop through Walmart using our registry.

After that – volunteers must organize all the gifts that are received.  This is a huge effort – so we need all the gifts by December 11, 2021. Our distribution dates for families to pick up the gifts is December 16th, 17th, and 18th.  Our distribution site is in the Village of Leesburg at 1606 Village Market Blvd, SE, #C-115 Leesburg, VA 20175. Soon, we will have Sign Up Genius active so you can sign up to volunteer.

SHEETZ FOR THE KIDZ

In 1992, two District Managers founded Sheetz For the Kidz™ as a way to give children in need the opportunity to celebrate the holidays with new toys, clothes and other basic needs. That first year, they raised $12,000 and took 126 children shopping. Today, Sheetz For the Kidz supports over 9,700 kids in the communities that Sheetz operates every year by giving them hope and joy over the holidays.

The Salvation Army of Loudoun will be accepting applications for the Sheetz for the Kidz program.  Children who are over the age of 12 and can provide proof that they live in Loudoun County are eligible to apply.

Our application information will be available in October 2021.
