The mission of the New Day Center is to create a continuum of services that inspires vulnerable youth to reach their potential.
The NDC is a community based street outreach program and drop-in center for youth ages 18-24 aging out of foster care, or who are homeless or at-risk of being sex trafficked.
The NDC provides a safe, non-judgmental and consistent space for participants to receive wrap around supportive services.
It is housed in The Salvation Army in Southeast and boasts a café (the Rusty spoon), recreational space (the Lazy Lounge), an educational suite (the Think Tank), locker rooms, laundry facility (Suds n Duds) and peer mentoring. Included will be a 24 hour hotline that service providers, including police, will have access to link youth with the services they need.

“Kids are homeless due to social and environmental issues (lack of acceptance, bullying, physical trauma, trauma and victimization). Not delinquency. Most “regular” people think these are “bad” kids. They’re not. They just come from bad circumstances.” Capt. Monica Seiler
