Camp Happyland and Camp Tomahawk are ACA accredited camps owned and operated by The Salvation Army Potomac Division. For more than 100 years, The Salvation Army has recognized the value of camping and has witnessed the difference it can make in people’s lives.
The traditional residential camp program consists of one-week programs for school-age children and teens from underserved communities from Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and DC, and our Corps. Specialty programs focus on the arts, STEAM, competitive team sports, outdoor education, and leadership development. MusiCamp is a themed one-week session for those interested in band, choir, theatre, and dance.
The camp is also used during the year for weekday and weekend youth, adult and family programs.
